Event 3: The Empathy Effect: Teaching literature about the world wars and the Holocaust (12 Sept 2018)

The Call for Papers for the third network event is now open. This workshop will take place at the Bill Douglas Cinema Museum in Exeter on 12 September 2018. We are also running an associated Creative Writing competition for young people aged 11-15 – for details please check here.


The Call for Papers for Event 2: Marginalised Histories of the Second World War is now closed. This second event of the Teaching and Learning War research network is a one day workshop – Marginalised Histories of the Second World War – exploring the latest research on the history, memory and representation of the Second World War (including the Holocaust) that go beyond well-worn Euro-centric narratives and/or researchers whose work casts light on lesser known aspects of the experiences themselves. It is taking place at King’s College London, Strand Campus on 11 April 2018.
